Actions in the communities

The companies of Grupo Claudino keep a close relation with society, constantly promoting or sponsoring social assistance, cultural, sports and leisure activities.

Armazém Paraíba develops social actions together with promotional campaigns. The Special Christmas, for example, grants money donations to APAE - Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Disabled Children- in many cities where Armazém Paraíba is located.

Teresina Shopping Center develops social actions which are national reference. The Campaign "Seja O Papai Noel de uma Criança Carente" ("Be the Santa Claus of a Child in Need"), for example, has received the Newton Rique prize for being the best social action developed in a shopping mall in Brazil. On another occasion, the campaign for the seven years of the mall was granted special distinction in same prize awarding. It promoted a birthday party for all the children who were born at the same day of the shopping center opening.

At the "Natal Nota 10" ("Grade 'A' Christmas") Campaign, Teresina Shopping Center gave 2,000 school material kits to children of the government schools of Teresina . Under the theme "What If Santa Claus Could Not Read?" the mall has sponsored adult literacy.

Onix Mattress Company directs a money percentage to the organizations helping people in need, over each mattress sold.

Guadalajara Company turns part of the sales into baskets of food to be donated donated.

A myriad of social actions developed by society organizations are supported and sponsored by Grupo Claudino's companies.

Houston Bike, Armazém Paraíba and Onix companies maintain Junior Achievement. It is the most long-standing non-governmental-organization in the world, held in many countries through private initiative.
